Regular special interest groups and activities

Workshops

We regularly hold workshops for our members. These include:

mini-workshops, where a member teaches skills that other members would like to know,

formal workshops, where members participate or learn a significant skill.

Occasionally, we invite guest teachers to run workshops, which may run for 4 hours, a day or several days, to introduce new or specialist skills, techniques and crafts to our group.

Spinning Study Group

This group meets 9:30 am -12:00 pm on the second Tuesday of each month. All welcome.

Our spinners meet to share information, talk about what they have been spinning and the successes and failures they have experienced. We explore spinning different fibres and spinning techniques. It is a lively, informative group and we all learn a lot from each other.

Weaving Study Group

This group meets 9:30 am -12:00 pm on the fourth Tuesday of each month. All welcome.

Our weavers meet to share information, talk about what they have been weaving and the successes and failures they have experienced.  This too is a lively, informative group, where we all learn a lot from each other.

Stash Buster Day

This event is held on the fifth Tuesday of the months that have an extra Tuesday. Members can sell items from their stash to other members on this day. The sale runs from 10:30 am to 12 pm.
